The Lee Strand Garda Youth Achievement Awards 2014 over all winner was Kieran Enright from Listowel , Kieran recived the Donal Walsh Livelife Award from Elma Walsh , John O’Sullivan Lee Strand and Garda Pat Sullivan . The awards, which began in 1998, honour teenagers who help others in their community.Twenty-seven young people between the ages of 14 and 19 will received awards at a ceremony in the Ballyroe Heights Hotel in Tralee.For the first time, the overall winner will receive the Donal Walsh #Livelife Award – in memory of the 16-year-old from Blennerville who spent his last months campaigning against suicide.
