Donal’s Cycle 2018

11th May 2018 – 13th May 2018 from the Basilica in Knock to Tralee!

Each year for the anniversary of Donal’s death we have had a Mass for the Celebration of his Life and have invited schools who we have interacted with across the country to send representation to the event.  In 2016 Archbishop Charles Brown, the then Papal Nuncio to Ireland, suggested that for his 5th anniversary we would hold the celebration Mass in the Basilica in Knock, as it is the largest indoor church in the country.  This Mass will be celebrated on 11th May 2018 at 12 noon.

As a follow on to this we in the foundation had an idea that we would run a 3 day cycling event for this weekend, as this was Donal’s final participative sport, and we will cycle from Knock to Blennerville.  We have decided to limit the participation to 50 paying cyclists.  Fionnbar will be cycling the full cycle and will be available to chat with all the participants throughout.

The cost per participant is €1,500.00 with at least 50% going to the combined Donal Walsh #Livelife and Blood Bikes Ireland (Cork branch) Charities who will be the bike outriders for the event.
