Firstly he is doing the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle on Saturday 4th July for the Tralee Hospice. You can commit to assist in his sponsorship of this event through his http://www.Justgiving.com page for Bantry Hospice Project Ltd. which is part of the same Palliative care team that works from Kerry Hospice, and therefore the team that looked after Donal to his passing. Aim is for €1,000.00 on this one.
Secondly he is leading out the Ring the Wrong Way Round on Saturday August 29th which is for the Donal Walsh #Livelife Foundation. He would love for anyone to join him on this one as it is in direct support of the #livelife project to keep Donal’s message alive. This is one we would like to grow as it is there to keep Donal’s conversation alive. We are so appreciative of the Gleneagle Hotel Group for sponsoring and promoting this event. This event is a follow up to the great Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle which allows those who cannot participate in the main cycle this opportunity to do the ring in lesser numbers with a few greater challenges en-route, but do the ring none-the-less. Serious cyclists do the Hard way at their peril…….and I know the north Kerry cycle ain’t no fun either !
The third project he is doing is to join the CROSS Rugby Legends http://www.crossrugbylegends.com or http://www.crossdonalsmountain.com for the day cycle, with the Wallace Brothers and a few other legends of international rugby, as they undertake the 4th annual cycle from Cork to Donegal. This year the trip is to travel 1000 Kilometres from Skibbereen to Malin along the #WildAtlanticWay over 7 days. His aim for this one which you can support on his http://www.Justgiving.com page is €3,000.00 and any support would be greatly appreciated.
Other cycles Fionnbar intends to participate in if you would like to join him include, with no commitment for sponsorship but, would like to talk about Donal’s life or journey:
West Cork 200k Sat 20 June 2015 (108k) Non Sponsor Spin
Pedal the Peninsula Sun 21 June 2015 (Keel/Dingle Cycle) Non Sponsor Spin
Sean Kelly Waterford Tour Sun 23 August (100k maybe 160k registered for both) Spin
Donal’s story is bigger than all of these cycles but anyone who would like to talk to Fionnbar en-rout and make the journey shorter need only look out for the Donal Walsh #Livelife Jersey that Fionnbar wears on most cycles.
